That is good news about the first one as for the second one I know the current version does not have a curfew mode but maybe after the release of the current product you would consider this for a update or if once the DL2000 is in profit and it requires it the DL2000 mark 2. It would be a really good feature to have.
However I am looking forward to the release of this version of the DL2000 though and the features it does have look very good. I just hope it isn't too expensive when it does come out.
There have been other posts that bring up the idea of follow-on companion devices. This idea could be accomplished by selling a remote control with no buttons. From the computer She syncs the clock on the second device with the PC, sets the curfew, and puts it into leash mode so he is forced to carry it in his pocket. The device stays in leash mode until it is able to re-connect with the PC (when he gets home). After curfew he gets progressively more and stronger zaps. This could be a simple fob looking device that he puts on his keychain. This way you don't have to add any more logic to the receiver and opens up a new product opportunity for you.
I like that idea it would be using what is already there and be another product the dreamloverlabs could sell without taking a massive amount of development.
As you've seen, there is a very long road between going from a concept to realization. We've got enough resources to manufacture new products a lot faster now. But the regulatory stuff is still there. So we need to choose very wisely what we get into. Each product will have to go through the usual tests... then there's the complexity of fulfillment, stocking, more parts... a few good products is better than a lot of products.
I totally understand what you're saying. I'm just brainstorming how the idea could be implemented with the stated restrictions (e.g. Space in the ROM for more firmware logic). I think that after launch of the main product you will have a nice list of potential future products based on discussions like this one. I'm sure you will make the appropriate business decisions about which and when. Just be aware that your target audience seems to be gadget and feature hungry. Even after most who want a DL2K have one and sales slow down, you can draw on some of these ideas to keep the ball rolling. :-)
Second, no, it would require additional firmware programming and we're out of space...

Keep up the good work
