Assuming the male is wearing the device properly, Canine Mode allows the female by a push of the button to drop into a very subservient position of basically being on hands and knees. Otherwise he will get frequent shocks at whatever level she wants delivered. The male can also avoid the shocks by laying face down flat on the floor but to me this is even worse then being forced to move around on hands and knees. I will do whatever she wants to be released back to upright position. I have been forced down for over an hour in one instance. She is in charge.
