I surges ted a curfew mode on one of the other threads but this was not possible due to the receiver needed extra space for the firmware however someone else came up with a brilliant idea. A buttonless remote control that the woman puts into leash mode forcing the male to carry it with him this remote automatically links with the pc when in range.
If at the curfew time it detects the DL2K pc link noting is done however if the male does not return home for the preset time a level one pulse is delivered at that time. Followed by a level 2 15 minutes later followed by a level 3 10 minutes later after that a level 3 every 5 minutes until the male gets in range of the DL2K link where leash mode would keep him until his curfew is over for the day. This could effectively be left on 24/7/365 making sure he is home in the prescribed hours. It could even give a vibration 15 minutes before curfew time as a reminder to get himself home. It would not reqire any changes to the receiver and be a extra product for the company
Another option for a extra product would be a set of scales that linked to the pc and is used in order to monitor his weight. A target weight range is entered and getting closer to the target or being in this range is rewarded via vibration but if his weight gets further from the target weight range he gets punished. Scales could be set to be used a minimum number of times a week by the woman with failure to use punished automatically by the DL2K link as if he was further from his target range. This would be useful to a woman for encouraging him to stay in shape. It could even decide what level to punish depending on how much the male has got further away from his target weight range.
The features of that buttonless remote would be covered by a bluetooth adapter plus cell phone. An app running on the cellphone could determine what level of correction and how often it's sent. With gps on board, it would be able to verify that he's on coarse for getting home at the prescribed curfew time. But not just to home, but anywhere. It could be set up to make sure he gets to work on time, attends church regularly, makes it to all of his classes, stays away from undesirable places, etc.
While the scale might sound like a good idea, its use would be too easily faked. To get accurate results, you'd need to be there to make sure he's using the scale properly. There are already lots of scales that have computer interfaces. All you'd need to do is read the scale weight and then use their API provide the necessary correction/encouragement.
I don't think incoparating a cell phone using bluetooth is a good idea too much could go wrong with such a system and having to run a app on a mobile constantly would drain its power. Plus not all phones would be able to run it anyway. It is best not to involve other non related tech when you could end up getting a level 3 pulse twice a second if the reciever can't sense a transmission.
I see what you mean about the scales but there is no reason why a display needs to be on them and it would be pretty simple for the system to sense both feet are on the scale, a reasonably equal balance was occuring and the weight was not too diffrent to be realistic.
I am one of the millions of WII users. I use the WII for regular entertainment, fun with friends when they are over, etc. The most use I get out of it is in the Exercise program. The WII has an incredible ability to sense location and position of the user, and provide realtime feedback to the console. It would be wonderful if this could also somehow be included in future developments, so that the Woman could check on the progress of her male's exercise program. Perhaps she could also use it to assign "slave" exercise poses that he would need to practice and work on.
All that is kept in memory and potentially could be tapped into by the DreamLover console and integrated into a future male management module.
The DL2000 receiver has an accelerometer just like the wii remote. There's nothing to prevent us from creating games for it and male exercise programs, except the regulatory burdens imposed on transmitters that are near the human body, and other FCC stuff. So, maybe as a future firmware upgrade...
I do like that thought quite a bit. Right now I do a daily exercise program. If there were a way to write an app more specifically tailored to the male management goals of this site, I think you would have a lot of potential new ways to integrate it.
I have thought about the WII possibilities ever since we got ours. Their API is pretty cool, and very sensitive to body position. I don't know if they are more or less likely to approve apps than Google, Apple, or other areas. If there are specific things which I can research to facilitate a future dev, I would love to know where to look...
probably the easiest thing to do would be pair a couple Wii remotes with the computer where the DL2K-Link is located and use software to interpret the data from the remotes then deliver 'encouragement' via the DL2K. :-)
I have another idea. What about a banish mode. This could be another form of punishment. The idea being that the male has to stay within a bandwidth strength from the USB. Eg 70-80% strength. The administrator could set the required signal strength parameters for preset banishment locations. Only when the wearer is in these banishment zones would he be free from shocks. These zones could include the garden shed, the car, the garage, the kitchen sink, basement, loft or even the garden (imagine it's raining).
