I had actually planned on writing a program for this using the API (once available). My boyfriend usually gets up about a half hour before I do. Fortunately, I am more of a sound sleeper than he is, so half the time his alarm clock doesn't even bother me, but the other half of the time it does.
The computer where we'd have the dl2k-link is in the other room. I had envisioned the program would just display a passcode on the screen. All he'd have to do is wake up, head in there, clear his eyes enough to read the text on the screen and then type it in to get it to stop. He doesn't abuse the snooze on his alarm clock, so it doesn't need to be some drawn out elaborate procedure.
