The chronovault is a great device, especially for long distance key holding. The time settings are in the device so lose of internet, the male managment server, etc. would not keep the vault from opening at the preset time. About the only failure would be an internal failure of the chronovault itself.
While the Chronovault appears to be very strong and sturdy, I believe a few blows with a sledge hammer would have it open but completely destroyed. Hard to do but with a total failure, no other choice. I doubt that would ever happen but, anything is possible.
i felt i should follow up on the results of my initial post. I followed through and purchased the chronovault. My on line Mistress is way more skilled with tech than I...but...that didnt necessarily help our "initial set up process". When I finally stopped fucking up, the ownership transfer went smooth. SO...whether or not I am pleased about this no longer matters...what i can say is...
1) The support staff at DreamLover labs is attentive and responsive. We received responses to our replies in a very short amount of time. OK...I didnt want to set the bar too high...but...it was almost instantly. I own a car, a computer, a house, a motorcycle,a TV, a restaurant, a POS system there, a draft beer system, etc...I am 48 years old...I dont know how to work or fix any of the aforementioned devices. And...the "help line" available for them is rarely helpful. This $500 chronovault that I couldn't work...well...reached those folks instantly and...guess what?
2) IT WORKS! HUGE! My Mistress was SO Psyched when she realised that the keys were really in there and she set the timer but she could :open...add time...subtract time...ya know...just RUN THE SHOW!
my Mistress and i have used a ChronVault for some time now, and found it to be a wonderful tool for long distance chastity control. We've never had any problems, and i'd suggest that as long as you have your password here, you can always replace a melted down machine (keep backups!) and download the DL Uplink application again (i know i have).
That said, the DL Uplink application looses connection to the server fairly frequently. i've often connected just before a session so it's available to Mistress, only to find it has disconnected by the time She wants to open it. Other times it will stay connected for days.
If it's the key to your chastity device being locked in the ChronoVault, this is nothing more than a minor inconvenience, since you simply click on "connect" again. But your risk depends on what key you are locking in the vault, and whether you have set a timer. If your Mistress is using manual control to lock the key to restraints that allow you to reach the ChronoVault but not the keyboard, and the DL Uplink application lost its connection, you would be in trouble.
Mistress and i are both cautious (but inventive!) types, so we tried a number of experiments and that's the only scenario we could come up with that could get you into serious trouble. Note that your Mistress can set a timer and still manually open and close it while the timer is still running, so in the above scenario setting the timer as the previous post suggested would act as a fail safe.
Sorry to hear that you are experiencing disconnections from the server.
Please note that the ChronoVault has an internal timer and no server-side message is needed for it to open after the timer has elapsed. So if you have a timer set and the internet goes down, the ChronoVault will still open.
