Sure you can, I have worn mine for as long as 6 months. It depends on what he does for work. I wouldn't try and go through airport security with the DL 2000 attached to your CB

HE WORKS IN AN OFFICE. DOESN'T THE BULGE SHOW. HE HAS TO WEAR A SUIT AND I'M JUST AFRAID IT MIGHT BE TOO BULKY

No it should be fine just, do a check before sending him out the door but remember when you look you know what your looking for others won't.
