Great story. I hope you will post more as you write it. Just one tiny error. You say that she entered 120 as the duration of the Grounded session but then say it lasted three hours. 3 * 60 is 180 not 120.
It reminds me so much of a story I wrote about five to ten years ago but mine was a story of physical slavery as a maid and had a very dark ending. It also used high technology but mine did not exist and would have severely taxed me as a programmer to develop it. Dream Lover 2000 is along similar lines of what I described but is a consensual device whereas mine was far from that. I commend you for choosing only existing technology and the story is all the more powerful for that. If I had not promised my Mistress not to come, I would have.

I've spent ages looking for a program called Grounded. Who makes it? Is there a free download somewhere? I could have written my own in the time I've wasted looking. Even if I find it it might be only for Windows and not run on my MacBook Pro so I might have to write it anyway. Not that I've told my Mistress about it - yet.

Thanks, I found it. Windows only though :-( I may write my own version for the Mac. I had something like it years ago on Mac but no grey screen just in a standard window. It did various other things too, like an object which moved left or right randomly and you had to stop it getting to the edge of the screen. It also told me when to eat, drink, and selected clothes and bonds to wear randomly every now and again. Ideally it should be linked to DL2000 to administer punishment for inattention of course. When I can afford a DL2000. I'd write it for free on Mac if someone would buy me a DL2000. Wishful thinking.

What a fantastic and great story!
I tested the Ground software with my Mistress, however, it seems not possible for her to control and see my desktop while I do my task.
"She knew that it would not show on Tom’s monitor as it would be covered by his gray screen; thus freeing her to do a few things without Tom’s knowledge."
If I did understand this correct, it should be possible, or do I miss something?
